Space Geodesy Laboratory is led by C Hwang, who is a Chair Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. He earned his BS from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, and his MS and PhD in Geodetic Science from The Ohio State University, USA. Hwang completed his postdoctoral research at Oxford University, UK. His academic contributions span the fields of gravimetry, satellite altimetry, the geoid, satellite geodesy, and satellite oceanography. He is a fellow of the International Association of Geodesy (IAG) and is actively serving on several sub-commissions for the 2023-2027 period. He has received three outstanding research awards (國科會傑出研究獎).
